hi, so I would like to run linkerd in kubernetes but using it to proxy to EC2 instances which are in auto scale groups. I would like to be able to feed in the ip addresses of the instances in an autoscale group to linkerd. anyone got any recommendations on the best approach to do this?
@operry we do not have any namer plugins that interact with AWS EC2 but we do have namers for popular service discovery tools e.g. consul, zookeeper etc. If I understand your use case correctly, one way you could get IP address info to Linkerd is to use something like consul in EC2 and use the
io.l5d.consul plugin in your linkerd instance running in k8s. We have a blog post that sheds some light on linkerd and AWS.
