Are linkerd releases, along with namerd and all IP speaking components, tested in IPv6 only environments?
Short answer: I think so, but as far as I know this has not been validated in a production-like environment.
Namerd’s interfaces support IPv6 explicitly. Im not sure whether all service discovery implementations (e.g. serversets) handle address parsing properly. Outside of service discovery, linkerd should be agnostic with regard to IP addresses. So, I’d expect that if we had a specific configuration in mind, it would be pretty straightforward to validate this.
